What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name. We store the extension projects and chat history you create while using the service, and we collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used, error events) to understand how the product is performing.
How we use it
We use your data to run Extension Coder: to authenticate you, to build and store your projects, to power the live preview, and to improve the service over time. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.
Third-party subprocessors
Running the service requires sharing certain data with the vendors listed below. We limit what each vendor receives to only what their feature needs.
- Convex — database and backend hosting. Your projects, chat history, and account data are stored here.
- Vercel — web hosting and edge functions. Request logs are retained per Vercel's standard policy.
- Anthropic — AI code generation. Your prompts and project context are sent to generate extension code.
- Google Gemini — AI code generation (used for certain generation tasks alongside Anthropic).
- Anchor Browser — live browser preview. Your extension files are loaded into a sandboxed browser session to render the preview.
Cookies and authentication
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your choices
You can delete individual projects at any time from your dashboard. To request full account deletion and removal of your data, email us at support@extensioncoder.io. We will process the request within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
